Google Earth isn't wrong, the connection is at the North end of the yard but leaving the connection intact  as I said does explain the
ATCS colors for the occupied OOS. The train enters and exits the yard on DS permission/authority, I don't remember if the junction switch is hand throw but would seem to be. It would be nice to straight line Mojave to Oban, and then do Denis to where ever on the next
line much like the Needles is done

Oh I see what you mean, the "DARK" track needs to be moved more North (Left on the Layout)?

Yup Christi that would be correct. The OOS extends from the junction point (which is interesting since that switch must give some
output to the DS) down to BNSF junction when occupied.

This looks much better! I don't think there's anything else needed to do at this point, unless you or Richard has another idea.

Richard Hunn

Yah, that's much better and the BNSF inclusion makes sense.

Alright, I will get it published soon.  I was just testing the OOS Coding for the Pine Sub.

The OOS coding is on the mainline, not on the actual sub and as I said it's just to protect the Local coming into the yard.

Still adding the Detectors from the TimeTable, then I will update with the latest General Order for the ones removed and added this year.

You show a crossover to the BNSF South of the connection, don't think that exists. As far as the Fleta location, there's a train stopped
there doing work as we speak. The OOS that protects the Lone Pine LOP82/83 is for Track 2 only, track 1 gets around it

I just copied from the ATCS Layout that is "supposedly" copied from the UP CAD Screens per Mark L. The TT does not show either one unfortunately.

Correct, it is set just like the ATCS Layout.

As to that crossover, at one time the SF came into Mojave on a straight into a mainline switch. That was changed to a semi-circular path to the mainline switch and a much gentler approach angle. There is no connection between the tracks other than the mainline junction switch

Christi

Is it the one that is being used right now?  Maybe I am not following, I thought I saw the other one get used as well at South Mojave?

No, the straight line to the 45 deg angle has been removed I believe, the circular to the less extreme angle is the one used (big half circle curve toward Sanborn)

Richard Hunn

There is a crossover just short of the junction. The line you show under "SP 381" doesn't exist. The BNSF line joins under the 14
bridge and just North there's a crossover from the main to the yard. There isn't two approaches like the layout shows. That second
approach was taken out when the new approach to the South was built.

Christi

Hmmm...  Which Line?  I think I got them all labeled.

OK, so the BNSF line curves into A, that's one continuous curve from your vertical line to Sanborn. B does not exist anymore, it's a path! D is the junction of the double track into the single track. E and F are as shown and end about just past where A enters the main,
they're just power storage trackage

This evening, I saw BNSF go on A earlier and now they just used B. According to the ATCS log, both are valid switches.   :-\

There is one connection, there is no A and B. The connection comes South of where you show D.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sanborn,+CA+93501/@35.0388197,-118.1683143,1334m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x80c2307defd883cd:0x314a6a66d714c9f!8m2!3d35.00056!4d-118.10556

Or just Google Map Mojave. You can see the BNSF curve in just under Highway 14. You can see the former line which has been removed which you are calling B and you can see the switch between Trk 1 and 2 which you are calling D. You can see the E and F track which ends under the bridge

The ATCS layout is old and is drawn to reflect the SF line before the new alignment. It is wrong because they shown the M1 to M2 to BNSF interchange using the C crossover, that is wrong. The line moved South and has to use the D crossover to get to BNSF trackage. C is still there though I doubt it's used much. The Blitz and South traffic enters the yard across D.

I have an email out to a DS in Omaha, waiting to hear back with the results. I will hold off on releasing until I get the screenshots.
