I recently downloaded the TM5 .apk file from the Trainmon5 user group, but have not yet installed it. I wanted to know first if others were using it and what their impression of it is. On my desktop I use ATCS and TM5 (I was getting some "ghost" trains on TM5 that were there then disappeared. I don't seem to have that problem on ATCS.) But, I digress. So, are you using TM5 for Android, on what (cell/tablet) and how do you like it? Any quirks? Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi @AriKona,
Jeff and I use it all the time. Just have to download the layout file to your phone so it can be loaded locally.

Thank you Christi,
Glad to hear it as I recently got a tablet and wanted to carry it with me on the road.
So, I install the apk and download the layout to the phone.
Do the program or layout have to be in any specific directory? (Remembering the issues with the original.)
Thanks again,
Don

You are welcome Don.  I know mine stores it in the "Downloads" Folder. But the new app allows you to browse anywhere on your phone/tablet to get to it.  I even had it grab a layout on the SD Card that I use for storage and had no problem.

Wow. Off the SD card? While I don't think of it when working on my desktop, with the tablet saving space is certainly a consideration.
Thanks again and I will let you know what happens. (I am waiting until after the 1st and everything to quiet down here before I install.)

Speaking of which...Happy New Year!
